He has been a trader with rice, cassava, and other livestock for domestic and neighboring countries such as Thailand and Vietnam since 1986. He then transformed his business into a gold and currency trader since 1984. He started a company to supply soap to the government until 1993 and then got involved in real estate. Mr. PHONNY SOVANNARITH INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR Mr. PHONNY SOVANNARITH was Born in 1966, he started his banking career in 1986 at the National Bank of Cambodia as a Credit Officer and then pursued a Master's degree at the Banking University of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Specialize in Finance, Accounting and Credit. In 1990, he worked at Commercial Bank (Bangkok) as a Senior Officer of General Operations (managing, withdrawing, and transferring cash, preparing financial statements, executing letters of credit, and was an accountant until 1998). From 1999 to 2000, he worked as a Senior Accountant for Vimal Import Export (Shell Company). From 2000 to 2005, he worked at a Specialized Bank (Peng Heng) as an Internal Auditor and Secretary. From 2005 to 2017, he worked at Specialized Bank (First Investment) as a Senior Officer in Administration, Credit, Accounting, Compliance, and Internal Audit, and was an Assistant to the Board of Directors and Secretary to the Senior Management of the Bank (Chairman of the Board). From 2017 to 2020, he served as the Senior Finance Officer of the Rural Health Organization.
